In 2016, the debut song is more important than ever before. With so much new music constantly filling timelines and playlists, the first impression can be a make-or-break moment. It’s not like we don’t have thousands of other new artists to check out.
Seattle-based singer-songwriter EMI just nailed her introduction. After one day, “Phantom” has racked up 20,000 plays on SoundCloud and impressed the likes of Sonny Digital and Allan Kingdom. We don’t know much about her yet, and she doesn’t even seem to be on Twitter, but you can check out her Instagram here, and watch her SoundCloud for more music.
Some credit must go to the producers, too. Rex Kudo (Post Malone, Mac Miller) and Sevn Thomas (Rihanna, Drake, Kanye) create deep, moody vibes that make “Phantom” an immersive listening experience.
