Beyoncé is preparing to deliver another memorable halftime performance at Super Bowl 50 tomorrow night alongside Coldplay. Though another big halftime show from Beyoncé is sure to break the internet, Queen Bey decided to shake things up in advance by surprising everyone with her new single, “Formation.” Paired with a video to match.
Beyoncé shines light on the city of New Orleans in her video, and the city’s artists by including vocals from NOLA’s own Big Freedia and the late Messy Mya. Mike WiLL Made It confirmed via Twitter that he did in fact produce Beyoncé’s latest single. It is also being reported that Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd co-wrote the song with her—his vocals can be heard in the background.
