After an in-depth interview with Sway, Young Thug is speaking again. This time, he sat with with Angie Martinez at New York’s Power 105 for an interview. In the clip above, Thug tells Angie Martinez about working with Kanye West. At first, he doesn’t give much information but after a little prodding, Young Thug reveals that he and Kanye made around 40 songs together.
Lyor Cohen, music industry executive and founder of Thug’s record label, 300 Entertainment, is also sitting in the room during the interview. “I’m not surprised,” he says of the two rap stars joining forces. “Kanye’s a genius and he’s constantly looking for other people who are creative risk-takers. So perfect, call Thug. Speed dial.”
From what we’ve heard, there’s a good chance that Young Thug will appear on Kanye’s upcoming album Waves, but we’ll have to wait and see. No matter what, it’s certain that we’ll be hearing a lot more of Thug’s music in 2016.
