2015 was a massive year for two of Top Dawg Entertainment’s artists, Kendrick Lamar and Jay Rock, but from the sounds of it, 2016 is shaping up to be even bigger.

In an interview with MTV, TDE president Dave Free discussed the label’s plans for next year, which involve new albums from almost every other big player on the roster. “Oh my goodness. It’s gonna crazy,” he said. “We’re gonna have everybody hittin’. That’s what’s gonna be sick. That’s what’s gonna be fun. That’s what I’m excited about.”

According to Free, 2016 should see new material from SZA, ScHoolboy Q, Isaiah Rashad, and Ab-Soul. Oh, and that much-anticipated collaborative project between Kendrick and J. Cole? Well, even that’s a “possibility,” though nothing is confirmed.

“A joint album does sound great, but people need to understand, these are two geniuses,” he continued. “These are two creative guys. It takes a long time for one of them to get in a space to create a song, so to get two of them in a space to do that, it takes a lot of time and energy. It all has to be a singular project, but it just can’t happen overnight.”
