This quartet from Sydney, Australia is starting to heat up. After they melted a few faces with the abrasive, out-front electropop of “Bullet From The Gun,” TIGERTOWN returns today with a second track. “Lonely Cities” is the title track of their upcoming EP, which you can pre-order on iTunes now.
“We wrote Lonely Cities about a friend of ours whose story moved us,” the band said. “It’s about being far away from the one you love, and how lonely the city feels without them.” The lyrics echo these forlorn sentiments, but the instrumentation does quite the opposite, proving you can still have fun while you’re lonely. There’s an infectious intensity to the group-singing and nimble rhythm guitars.
