Brooklyn-based singer and producer TCVVX, is gearing up to release his upcoming self-titled EP. Ahead of its release, he shares the EP’s first single, “Sucka For Love.” The young crooner delivers a track detailing the crippling fear one feels when standing on the edge of heartache and happiness.

“Sucka For Love” opens up smoothly like a traditional R&B record, but soon gets a dose of modern flare with the booming production. TCVVX creates a lovable balance of showcasing vulnerability over a hard-hitting beat—reminiscent of the contrasting feeling of wanting love but being afraid to let guards down. Combined with an immediately catchy hook, the resulting track feels irresistible.

TCVVX explains his new single further, saying:

‘Sucka For Love’ triggers feelings of that all too familiar phenomenon—happiness being drowned by fear—a nagging reminder that you’ve been here before, you’ve been burned before, and although you don’t want this particular person to hurt you, you know that you’ve lost control. You know they have the power to hurt you and you fear that they ultimately will.
