Mick Jenkins returns today with Sip!, a surprise release consisting of two new tracks, “Grenade Theory” and “$3,000 Advice.” Described as “A collection of shit I’ve been working on with THEMpeople” and both featuring theMIND, Mick’s latest addition to his water-based catalog showcases his wit and technicality over both records.
“Grenade Theory” has some of the same intensity we heard on “Martyrs,” with Jenkins bouncing his inner thoughts off the troubles of his hometown of Chicago. “$3,000 Advice” has a calm, groovier approach, as the Chicago rapper takes us through his attempts to court a young lady.
