The one and only Erykah Badu came back to music with a vengeance at the end of 2015, remixing Drake’s “Hotline Bling” and dropping the But You Caint Use My Phone mixtape, which included the excellent “Hello” featuring Andre 3000.
Today, she’s back with another awesome remix, this time of Kanye West’s latest track “Real Friends,” which was released last Friday as part of a newly resurrected G.O.O.D. Fridays style series where he drops a song every week.
Badu shared the track on SoundCloud with the message, “JUST ride out to this,” and the explanation, ” BADU MESSIN ROUND THIS MORNIN (really suppose be recording something else …).” Badu also says that she’s in the studio with Zach Witness in Dallas, Texas, and that this remix comes from a forthcoming mixtape THIS $h!t TOO EASY, which we sincerely hope is true.
