Over the weekend, Vampire Weekend played their first show since Rostam Batmanglij left the band. They played in Iowa City at a Bernie Sanders rally.

The lineup included Ezra Koenig, Dirty Projectors‘ Dave Longstreth, Vampire Weekend drummer Chris Tomson, comedians the Lucas Bros, and the University of Iowa’s Hawkapellas—an all female a cappella group.  In a tweet Vampire Weekend frontman, Ezra Koenig explained the lineup saying, “Bernie can call that Vampire Weekend if he likes.”

For the closing song in their set, the group chose to play “This Land Is Your Land.” It takes Bernie a minute but he eventually moves from the back of the stage to the front right alongside Ezra Koenig to help sing the song.
