Dancehall fans around the world have come to know and love Popcaan for some years now. Recently, the Jamaican artist has been expanding his horizons a bit with a few surprising collaborations—working with artists like Pusha T, Drake, Jamie xx, and Krept & Konan, to name a few.
The latest unexpected Popcaan collaboration comes from AlunaGeorge. Worlds collide beautifully on the duo’s new single “I’m In Control,” which is taken from their forthcoming album due out this spring via Interscope. Aluna’s sweet voice opens up the track with a soft melody, while George provides production fusing experimental pop and R&B with hints of dancehall—setting the perfect stage for Popcaan’s guest verse.
