A sequel to the 1986 cult classic film Labyrinth starring David Bowie is in the works according to Entertainment Weekly. A deal has been reached between Tristar Pictures and The Jim Henson Company with Guardians of the Galaxy co-writer Nicole Perlman drafting the script.

If you’ve never seen Labyrinth here is a quick recap. It was directed by muppet mastermind Jim Henson and was also his last film he directed. It stars David Bowie as Jareth, the Goblin King who kidnaps Jennifer Connely’s character’s baby brother per her request. Surprised when her fantasy becomes a reality Connely is then given 13 hours to solve Bowie’s labyrinth to get her baby brother back before he turns into a goblin.

Upon its release, the film was a flop receiving lukewarm reviews and raking in half of its budget at the box office. Thanks to the power of the internet, however, the film has been considered a cult classic in recent years and even had a manga sequel released in 2006 called Return to the Labyrinth.
