In perhaps one of the best examples of how to truly celebrate throwback Thursday, Tim Westwood has just shared a rare freestyle from none other than Yasiin Bey, or as he was known as back then, Mos Def. Recorded live in 1999, the five-minute freestyle features Mos at the absolute peak of his game. Completely off the top of his head, the performance is a freestyle in every sense of the word, with Mos bragging “It’s not written, not rehearsed, still busting the verse.”
