French producer and director Mr. Oizo has brought along Charli XCX for his latest, “Hand in the fire.” Out tomorrow via Ed Banger/Big Beat, the explosive, boisterous collaboration makes the most of Charli’s excitable vocals and Oizo’s malleable production. It’s somewhat of an unexpected collaboration, but “Hand in the Fire” definitely works, proving just how versatile Oizo’s production really is, and how easy Charli finds it to adapt to production of wildly different styles.
