There’s no shortage of mashup albums involving Kanye West (remember how good Yeezer was?!) and now another one has hit the web. This one lays West’s vocals from some of his biggest hits over the instrumentation of various QOTSA songs. Surprisingly, the resulting fusion works fairy well.
The project is the creation of French producer ToToM, who spent the better part of the past year working on the album. “I packed the first half of the present album quite rapidly a year ago,” he wrote on his Bandcamp. “But as it started to become an important project (plus the media fuss around Kanye West and his new tracks released in between), I took my time and as I was waiting for an artwork, I found new ideas [and] improved other tracks.”
