We last checked in with Derek Wise when we identified him as a Toronto artist to watch back in March. Now, he just dropped a new EP titled Glam Wave, a 3-track effort that features atmospheric but punchy production from Geoff Wood, Ikaz Boi, and Stretch. As for Wise, his lyrical delivery is consistently adventurous but settles into enough of a groove to compliment the ambient qualities of the instrumentals.
