No Ceilings alumnus and multi-talented artist Daye Jack has gone from computer science student at NYU to working with Killer Mike, and we salute him. On the politically charged “Hands Up,” Daye shows off his dual threat status, crooning the chorus and delivering a slick verse over a beat that’s more influenced by rock than rap.

Killer Mike’s verse starts, “Maybe the kid that you refer to as a thug is just somebody else’s baby,” and just gets more memorable from there. It’s a great look for Daye Jack, and a powerful song from two talented artists, one just getting started, and the other further cementing his legendary status with each verse and every wise word.
