1.

With the year coming to an end, there's no shortage of celebratory vibes. And with celebration comes reflection. While many will be taking a look back on their entire year, we'd like to narrow that scope one more time before the year's close to bring you a list of our favorite new mixes compiled over the last couple of weeks.

There's no shortage of quality material: have a listen to the Hessle Audio hoedown featuring Four Tet, Caribou, and Joy Orbison from the other day, then spin over to Para One's homage to New York City circa 1993 if you're jonesing for classic hip-hop. If not, try Shura's "not an album" mix.

Pro tip: leave this page open and ready for any larger-than-normal gatherings you may be having in the coming days.

2. Shura: This Is Not A Shura Album [Shura's Happy Mixmas]

One of our favorite new faces of 2015, Shura scores major brownie points for polishing off a productive year with a carefully-selected collection of songs which, if you haven't already gathered by the mix's title, is not a Shura album.

The actual album, likely to be released in the coming months, will be sure to paint a more vivid picture of her musicianship, but this mix sends a strong signal of the singer/producer's current headspace, with help from friends like Grimes, Kate Bush, Brian Eno, and Redinho.

3. Ben UFO, Pearson Sound, Pangaea, Four Tet, Caribou & Joy Orbison: Hessle Audio Special for Rinse FM

Isn't it lovely when the family gets together over the holiday period? And it's all the more lovely when this particular family tends to play awesome music.

Hessle Audio's most recent Rinse FM podcast saw Ben UFO, Pearson Sound, and Pangaea joined by their wider family of Four Tet, Caribou, and Joy Orbison. Santa hats were worn by some, and a stonking selection of songs were played by all. God bless us, every one.

4. Para One: '90s NYC Hip Hop Special on Rinse FR

If you, like us, are partial to New York's hip-hop hall of fame, then Paris' Para One has you covered.

The DJ swings from A Tribe Called Quest to Wu Tang Clan before making his way through East Flatbush Project past Pete Rock, Public Enemy, and Grand Puba; Para One's salutary mix will make almost any hip-hop head smile.

5. DJ Mitsu the Beats: Hyponik Mix #252

Hailed as the Japanese incarnation of Pete Rock, DJ Premier and J Dilla (according to an impressive intro by the Hyponik guys), DJ Mitsu the Beats is no stranger to demonstrating vigor when it comes to vinyl—especially with 20 years of experience behind him.

Brace yourself for a barrage of delicious breaks, grooves, and funk that reaches ferocious levels.

6. Boofy: FABRICLIVE x Bandulu Mix

Bristol-bred bass head Boofy brings the noise on this promotional mix, which was put together ahead of a performance alongside peers including Kahn & Neek, Om Unit, Chimpo, and more at London's legendary Fabric.

"I wanted the mix to portray all of the tunes I’ve ended my year with," Boofy said. "Some of the tunes have been personal favorites from playing at Outlook Festival, New York... or loops I’ve made, and new material. There's some personal favourites from producers, and new bits I’m gassed about. In regards to next month, it’ll be more catered to the audience.

"I’ve got a lot of money ready to get a ton of dubs cut so it’ll all be fresh material, so everyone will be first time listeners and get more of an opener into what I’ve been making for the past few months. And it goes without saying, the MCs will have some crazy shit to spray over."

7. Wen: 30min Mix for Benji B

Ever the reliable curator of rising producers, Benji B brought Wen in to work the kind of weird and wonderful sounds that appear on his debut album, 2014's Signals.

But let's stick with the present for the time being. Turn your attention to this short-but-sweet mix bearing tracks from Banshee, Gantz, and Wen himself.

8. Jon Phonics: Kanye In Economy Mix

Made on an "Ableton vibe out on a delayed af Virgin train," this next mix from Astral Black label boss Jon Phonics goes out to anyone who's had a long commute to see the family during the holiday season.

And much like the mix's namesake, we imagine JP emulating Kanye's once memed-upon moment in history, nodding heavily to music during the in-flight announcement. Except this time it's on a delayed train.

9. Scratcha DVA: A MIX 2 MAKE U ADD AN XTRA X IN UR TXT

London's Scratcha DVA's "A MIX 2 MAKE U ADD AN XTRA X IN UR TXT" tugs at the heartstrings of anyone who has stared for hours and hours waiting for a text, or for those who have spent as much time constructing the perfect text for the object of their affection.

Brandy, The Internet, Erykah Badu and many more are featured.

10. Leonce: Truancy Volume 134

22-year-old Fade To Mind newbie Leonce recently served up a soundtrack ideal for anyone aiming to stay lit like a Christmas tree all the way into 2016.

“I tried recording this mix 3 times, the first take I wasn’t a huge fan of and the second was unusable cause of some driver shit," Leonce said, "so by the third take I mostly just felt like playing my rap favs from the last few years. I’m definitely influenced a lot by rap as a DJ and producer (even though I wouldn’t call myself just a rap DJ or producer), so it’s cool to have a little chance to show that side of myself more.”

11. Machinedrum: Endless Summer Mix

For those living in sunnier climates, or for those who refuse to accept that we're in the depths of winter, Machinedrum has cooked up an "Endless Summer" mix.

"To celebrate my upcoming New Zealand / Australia New Years tour I've put together a short mix of some new jams and exclusives," the producer wrote. "My recent move to LA and my increasing resistance to cold climates has inspired this mix. Besides, it's summer time down under!!!"
