TOKiMONSTA shared a new track that premiered on the Fader today teaming up with Anderson .Paak and KRNE on “Put It Down.” The L.A. based producer told the Fader, “Anderson .Paak is a friend and an artist I’ve always believed in. Our mutual respect for each other as family and musicians make our collaborations work so well, and “Put it Down” shows a different facet to our collaborations. Also on board for this track is KRNE, who is an up-and-coming producer who was amazing to work with as well.”
“Put It Down” is the lead single off TOKiMONSTA’s upcoming mini-album, Fovere, that is out January 29th on Young Art Records. She mentioned it is her most complete work to date explaining, “By complete, I mean it’s a body of work that is whole and that I’m proud of. It represents my life at the time it was being made–a point where a lot of transitions were being made and I had the biggest personal growth spurt. ‘Fovere’ essentially means, ‘to cherish’ in Latin. To cherish everything–good, bad, light and dark.”
This track follows a high for .Paak who has been featured on multiple great songs this month. Listen to “Put It Down” below.
