RWDL (pronounced Rawdell) is a 22-year-old singer/rapper/producer from the San Fernando Valley. “I began rapping around 13, he explains, “but didn’t begin to make music until about 17 years old, when I began drumming, then playing bass and singing in an LA metal band.”

On “LA’HEAT,” RWDL is about as far from metal as you can get. It’s a smooth track, steeped in West Coast attitude and an almost obnoxious amount of youthful cockiness. But the bass-heavy production (by Scientific) and simple melody make this one incredibly addictive.

“Being out of California more often has made me appreciate how much I love my city. ‘LA’HEAT’ is a homage dedicated to the beautiful ladies of my hometown.”
