Earlier this year, I moved to Memphis after living in New York City for the last 10 years. It was a huge move, one that was frightening but, honestly, incredibly necessary. That’s because when you’re stagnant, you don’t allow yourself to flourish. It’s only when we put ourselves outside our comfort zones that we can begin to truly grow.

Sara Hartman’s new single, “Monster Lead Me Home,” is about this idea. The song was written when she moved from Sag Harbor, NY to Berlin. “It’s a snapshot of my mind when I first got to Berlin,” she explains. “It was really exciting but very frightening at the same time. I put everything into the music I make and trust it’ll take me where I’m supposed to be, i.e. Monster Lead Me Home.”

The song is the first off her upcoming album, and it’s an impressive introduction. With powerful vocals, an accessible melody, and a genuine pop production, her music is sure to make her one to watch for in 2016. Get familiar now by streaming “Monster Lead Me Home,” below.
