Perhaps one of the most interesting points of Grimes’ bonkers new album comes when she joins forces with Janelle Monáe on “Venus Fly.” It’s a pretty unexpected collaboration to begin with, but what the pair do with the track is even better than the idea would initially suggest. During a recent show in Atlanta, Monáe saw fit to join Grimes to perform the song live for the first time after Grimes teased Monáe’s appearance earlier in the day by saying she was “dressing in black + white 4 a special guest in Atlanta.”
