2. The Social Experiment - "Juke or Treat"

Since Halloween fell on a Saturday this year, the entire weekend was jam packed with festivities. And every party needs a soundtrack. Thankfully, Peter Cottontale of The Social Experiment delivered a short megamix that sounds just as good now that Halloween has passed.

8. Ameer Vann - "Love"

Love is a strange thing. The strong emotions can cause people to act in unthinkable ways, and Ameer Vann's latest track seems like the appropriate soundtrack for those moments. The track, simply titled "Love," depicts the frightening range of emotions and thoughts one can go through when they're so deep in love that it's too late to turn back.

12. Nicki Minaj - "Only (Zora Jones Bootleg)"

Barcelona based producer Zora Jones is releasing her debut EP 100 Ladies on November 16th, but before then we've been gifted a pack of ten bootlegs. Jones does her damn thing with a bag of rap and R&B songs—E40, Soulja Boy, Sasha Go Hard, and more get reworked, but the best of the bunch may just be the remix of Nicki Minaj's "Only."

"I never fucked Wayne, I never fucked Drake..."

14. Jay Z - Unreleased Freestyle from 1999

While most people participate in Throwback Thursday with some old photos, Tim Westwood went a different route by digging up a Jay Z freestyle from 1999. The previously unheard freestyle serves as a great reminder as to why Jay Z is at the top of so many people's lists of favorite rappers.

16. Rilla Force - "Lunar"

Boston's Rilla Force dives deep into an electronic wormhole on this one, programming a bevy of synth chords that build ever higher, only to break down for a very spare outro. There's also a Toad sample in there, if I'm not mistaken, so shouts to Toad the legend.

19. Kembe X - "Buried Alive"

It's been a while since Chicago rapper Kembe X released new music, but that ended this week when he shared a new track called "Buried Alive." Kembe X shows his vulnerable side on the track, digging deep into his psyche while he ponders death and success.

21. Jojee - "Claim"

Here's a nice slice of glittering synth-pop, courtesy of NYC songstress Jojee. One listen to the lyrics should spell out the song's intentions, but Jojee offered an explanation too: “'Claim' is about a toxic relationship where I felt like the person never really loved me but just wanted to claim me. It was written about the tipping point of when I decided enough was enough.”

23. DEFFIE & R.O.M - "Jumpsuit 2 (Das Bae)"

DEFFIE and R.O.M team up once again for their latest single "Jumpsuit 2 (Das Bae)." The track comes from their upcoming joint EP Entropy, which is set to be released on November 20. This second single is another bouncy track with a repetitive loop and addictively saccharine vocals. Entropy is sure to be filled with more infectious tracks like this one.

25. Aphex Twin - "Avril 14th (Alternate Version)"

Aphex Twin's "Avril 14th" is a beautiful piano song, a departure from Aphex's usual electronic experiments, and one of his greatest tracks. It's hard to make changes to a song that already sound so flawless, but Aphex Twin recently released an alternate version of the famous cut. This new version reveals much more open space than the original, and is a dreamy addition to your music library.

27. Primul - "Lighthouse"

Primul doesn't sing, he howls. That much is evident as soon as his vocal come in on "Lighthouse," one of the lead tracks from Primul's free album The Glow. It's a tortured, raw sound—but the imperfections making it all the more engaging.

29. Ricky Eat Acid - "Dear Lord"

Ricky Eat Acid is a nut. I say it with love—his music is all over the place, sounding like Hudson Mohawke one second and Animal Collective the next. Luckily, it's nearly always awesome.

"Dear Lord" follows suit—it's a rainbow of sound and color, overlapping melodies combining to create a sonic texture unlike anything else you'll hear today, unless you play it twice.

31. NoMBe - "Kemosabe"

Los Angeles-based producer/vocalist NoMBe labels his latest track "Kemosabe" as "electronic soul," but it's so much more. NoMBe's voice truly a unique instrument, buttery-smooth with bits of an intriguing rasp. When it's combined with production that sounds as if it's doing donuts around your ears, "Kemosabe" is a winner.
