15 Free Songs You Should Download Right Now

Every Sunday we collect the best free music we can find and put it all in one place. If you fell behind or just feel like building up your iTunes, we've got you covered. Here are 15 free songs for you to download, in no particular order.

1.

2. John Keek ft. Jacob Mann - "Come Give It Up"

As soon as John Keek's song "Come Give It Up" begins, it's easy to hear the influence of PartyNextDoor's track "Things & Such (Kehlani's Freestyle)," Drake's "Marvin's Room," and tiny bits of Kendrick Lamar's "Institutionalized" within the lyrics. However, because of Keek's delicate voice and the brilliant jazzy instrumentation, "Come Give It Up" winds up sounding like something completely new and intriguing.

3. Mr. Carmack - "Oye Como Va"

For those who are familiar with the song "Oye Como Va," just reading the title might make listeners expect a certain sound or rhythm. However, the only similarity between Carlos Santana's version and Mr. Carmack's is the title. Mr. Carmack's track isn't as upbeat, but it's just as silky. The rhythm is immediate comfort—he's asking, "Oye come va (Hey, how's it going?)" without words.

4. Brayton Bowman - "Bieber's Hotline"

Drake's "Hotline Bling" and Justin Bieber's "What Do You Mean?" are constantly getting played on every radio station right now. Hearing them so many times back to back can make it seem like they're blurring together. Well, Philly singer/songwriter Brayton Bowman actually blurred them together on "Bieber's Hotline," and the results are brilliant.

5. San Gellaitry - "Nebula"

Sam Gellaitry is king of the vibes. The Soulection signee is the musical progeny of GoldLink and Kaytranada, busting massive electronic bounce beats over chopped vocal samples to create ominous, swirling towers of sound that crack and splinter in all the right places.

To celebrate 100,000 followers on SoundCloud, Gellaitry released "Nebula" for free this week. It's a classically detuned and aggressive cut that's a treat for ears and mind alike.

6. Branchez - "Cuenta"

Branchez's biggest hits is a remix, but don't sleep on his original material. "Cuenta" is a slap-happy tornado of tongue rolls and off-kilter synths, with dance rhythms that add an addictive twitch to the proceedings.

7. Leks Rivers ft. Innanet James - "Soho Knights" Remix

The internet continues to bring people from opposite ends of the world together, and it's beautiful. Londoner Leks Rivers recently linked up with Maryland rapper Innanet James online and got him to jump on the remix of "Soho Knights." An already great song has been taken to a new heights due to this newfound connection.

8. Chance The Rapper ft. Saba - "Angels"

Chance The Rapper kicked off the week with a performance of his latest single "Angels" on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert with fellow Chicago rapper Saba. Similar to many of Chance's previous songs and the music featured on The Social Experiment's Surf album, "Angels" is a feel good track that is worthy of multiple replays a day. Thanks Chance :)

"Angels" is available for free on both SoundCloud and iTunes.

9. Lontalius x CutMyLips - "Mooncatch"

Ryan Hemsworth's Secret Songs label continues to offer up some of the coolest free music on the internet, and the latest is absolutely no exception. New Zealand's Lontalius linked up with super-talented producer CutMyLips for the gorgeous "Mooncatch."

10. Deron - "Lauryn Hill"

DMV-based rapper Deron created what he refers to as "an ode to Hip Hop's Nobel Laureate" for the song's namesake Lauryn Hill. Deron delivers a quick verse over a smooth sample by EyeLoveBrandon—resulting in a great track to wind down to after a busy week.

11. Sandra & Julia - "Time After Time"

This week Scandinavian collective Sandra & Julia shared their debut song, "Time After Time." The track blends an array of sound. Beginning with just a simple clap and bassline, "Time After Time" soon breaks down into a funkier beat that suggests Timbaland's influence has stretched all the way to the group's native Scandinavia.

12. Tre Capital ft. Thomson, Brandon Bars, Dave Amazin - "38 RMX"

L.A.'s Tre Capital has brought along a number of his talented friends for the posse track "38 RMX." Tre caught our attention earlier with "Crisp 2.0," and it's evident he's committed to improving himself as a rapper.

13. Irahnik - "Solo"

New Jersey rapper Irahnik delivers a new track "Solo," produced by Luminate. Luminate's beat has a steady boom but still manages to remain low-key. "Solo" is described as the sequel to Irahnik's "High"—dive into the story on his SoundCloud, and download "Solo" here.

14. Villain Park ft. Hugh Augustine - "Stache Box Villain Pt. 2"

Earlier this month, Los Angeles rap crew Villain Park delivered the visuals for their single "Brain Cells." They've finally released their EP Same Ol Shit, and it doesn't disappoint. For easy listening, Villain Park shared their new EP as one long track. One of the other stand-out tracks from the young crew is "Stache Box Villain Pt. 2" (4:00 mark) featuring Hugh Augustine. The light beat works as a contrasting element to balance out each of their own hard-hitting verses.

15. Dread - "The Move"

Dread's latest single sounds like a jambalaya of music's recent history. He interlaces raps with song in a way that recalls Drake and Kid Cudi. The hazy beat is reminiscent of electronic R&B currently championed by English R&B, while the lyrical content is written by a 21st-century global citizen.

16. Ryan Hemsworth & Canblaster - "Mix of Memories"

Ryan Hemsworth and Canblaster teamed up to create what they describe as "a love letter to [their] favorite video game series (Silent Hill) and one of the greatest composers, Akira Yamaoka." It's a 24-minute mix of the game's sounds and soundtrack, and with these two at the helm, you know it's going to be good. Personal favorites occur at the 05:30 and 12:30 mark.
