Back in March, Nosaj Thing and Chance The Rapper shared the frosty “Cold Stares,” which also featured The O’My’s. The song marked the second collaboration between Chance and Nosaj, as they previously worked together on the Acid Rap bonus track “Paranoia.” The video for “Stares” is just as glacial as the song itself, with its slow drip-drop flow and icy atmospherics. The video, which was directed by Daito Manabe and TAKCOM, features drones filming two young hospital patients.
The surreal visuals match the forlorn tone of the track perfectly, lining up with the glitches found on the song with some distorted wireframe models and compelling dance moves. Watch the brief video above.
