As electronic music’s influence continues to infiltrate genres across the board, it’s getting harder and harder for traditional rock bands—guitar, drums, and bass—to compete. Many rock bands seem pressured to attempt a reinvention of the wheel, but Hinds is taking it back to basics. Their jangling, catchy garage rock is some of the most simply fun and addictive music we’ve heard in years, and their live show is like an invitation to join the party. Trust us, it’s fucking awesome.
