We were first introduced to Hannah Lucia’s smoky, velvety voice with her debut single, “Lights Out.” The track was a huge first offering but most impressive was that it seemed to promise Lucia’s best material is still yet to come. Now she makes good on this promise with her new single, “Don’t Hold Out.” While “Light’s Out” had more of an R&B-pop beat, this one slows things down and layers on the synths, effectively creating a distinct mood that seems to envelop you throughout the song. It’s a brilliant next step, showcasing both range and diversity.
