2. Ty Dolla $ign - "No Fake Shit"

Ty Dolla $ign's major-label debut album Free TC is set for a November 13 release. With that date right around the corner, Ty decided to be extra generous and share a free mixtape called Airplane Mode. The 10-track tape features some club-ready songs, as well some surprisingly slower tracks like "No Fake Shit."

3. Mizan - "7 Billion"

Mizan is a Chicago-born singer who was raised between Ethiopia and New York. Her debut EP Dark Blue is set to be released on November 6, but she just shared a new single titled "7 Billion" to stoke anticipation. Mizan's voice dances on the fine line between haunting and inviting, pairing her eerie vocals with dramatic piano chords that grow more mesmerizing as the song goes on.

4. Elhae & Tory Lanez - "Till It's All Gone (Rascal Remix)"

Both Elhae and Tory Lanez have been making impressive efforts to solidify spots for themselves in the music world, effortlessly blending R&B and hip-hop within their music.

Back in 2013, the two joined forces for the smooth collaboration "Till It's All Gone," and the track has recently been given new life by Rascal. The mid-tempo track is transformed into a bass-heavy banger with some crucial violins at its core.

5. Negative Gemini - "You Never Knew"

Brooklyn's Negative Gemini really caught our attention with her brilliant new single "You Never Knew." A colorful burst of sound that could fit into '90s teen romance movie—or a contemporary art-house drama—"You Never Knew" is a shadowy, foggy, and overall delightful slice of pop as modern as it is retro.

6. BNJMN ft. Scolla, Von Alexander & Maurice Moore - "Winter Girls"

Last week, BNJMN made an appearance on Oshi's latest single "Down For This," appearing alongside Krs., Dutchboy, and Tunji Ige.

He's back this week with a new single of his own. "Winter Girls" is off BNJMN's upcoming EP Since 1993, and it's another stacked track featuring Scolla, Von Alexander, and Maurice Moore. The artists come together to dedicate a song to all the girls of the world with ice-cold hearts.

7. S'natra ft. Synead - "Feelin' Good"

S'natra is a Harlem-based rapper. While many artists in this area push towards grittier sounds, this young artist is keeping the party vibes going with his latest single, appropriately titled "Feelin' Good." The song features vocals from fellow New Yorker Synead, and horns on horns—which play the melody of Ginuwine's "Pony"—that feel very reminiscent of Chance The Rapper and The Social Experiment.

8. SPZRKT & Sango - "How Do You Love Me"

Hours Spent Loving You is the criminally under-appreciated EP from Sango and Georgia-born rapper SPZRKT that dropped in March of this year. It's a collection of sexy, downtempo rap beats that SPZRKT annihilates with a unique blend of staccato deliveries and his gorgeous voice.

"How Do You Love Me" still sits head and shoulders above the other tracks—it's packed to the gills with emotional hurt, and boasts some of Sango's finest percussion.

9. Big K.R.I.T. ft. Ludacris & K Camp - "Shakem Off"

Releasing mixtapes or albums unannounced has become the hot strategy for a lot of today's artists. As Frank Ocean found out, it's much easier than setting a date and having that deadline loom.

The most recent artist to join the surprise release gang is Big K.R.I.T., with his new mixtape It's Better This Way. One of the standouts from the 14-track tape is "Shakem Off" with Ludacris and K Camp. There's a deep groove to the track that makes you want to drive all night.

10. Slow Magic - "Candy (Mamba Song)"

Slow Magic delivered another new track this week called "Candy (Mamba Song)," and the music is as glittery as the artwork. In less than four minutes, Slow Magic manages to peel back an infinite amount of layers. Each sound piles on top of the last. It's hard to build so many layers without messy results, but Slow Magic manages to balance their Jenga tower.

11. Rustie - "160 Hospital Riddim"

Hospital? Rustie don't care about your stinkin' hospital. The man can and will make tracks any and everywhere, hospital bed included. "160 Hospital Riddim" is the proof.

12. King Louie - "Tony Tone Tone"

This week King Louie shared his 6 God Tony mixtape. One of the standouts, "Tony Tone Tone," features King Louie's signature gruff bars on a beat that's super hard-hitting and menacing. Smash something to this one.

13. R.O.M - "Yeah"

Birmingham-based producer R.O.M delivers a brilliant flip of Justin Timberlake's "Like I Love You" with his latest track "Yeah." R.O.M loops the sample and leaves it at the core for his new creation. Unlike Timberlake's dance-worthy track, "Yeah" keeps things slow, but the booming production is an electrifying jolt that will leave you looking like you just bit into a lemon.

14. Kweku Collins - "Memorial"

Earlier this summer we listed Kweku Collins as one of the twenty rappers under 20 years old that you should know. The young talent shared a new single this week titled "Memorial," a hypnotic track about love and exploration.

Putting all your trust into a loved one can be both exhilarating and frightening, and the production of "Memorial" brings out the perfect blend of these mixed emotions to complete the track.

15. Nehzuil ft. Milan - "Dandelion"

Fellow Aussies Nehzuil and Milan have been working together for the past month or so, and sharing their collaborations for free via SoundCloud. Their latest track, "Dandelion," is another smooth effort from the duo. Nehzuil provides the relaxing, down-tempo production while Milan completes the package with her sweet, bright voice.

16. Tobi Lou - "New Bish"

Last month Tobi Lou released his single "Pretty Please"—a playful ode dedicated to his love for ladies' behinds. Now he returns with another song called "New Bish" that is just as joyful and sly as his last. "New Bish" is a love song of sorts, where Tobi Lou tries his best to explain that he'd rather return to that special someone than carry on with the exhausting single life.
