Last month, Låpsley shared “Hurt Me,” the second part of her upcoming double single release. “Hurt Me” and the previous single, “Burn” will will be released on October 9 via XL Recordings. But before the release, Låpsley shares the video for her later single.
The lyrics for “Hurt Me” show off a clearly vulnerable side to Låpsley, the emotion within the song are matched by grand, cinematic visuals. The video shows Låpsley taking a long, lonesome walk through the woods until she finally reaches the ocean. Though the video seems simplistic, those who have been hurt before can relate that a long, peaceful walk with nature can often be a crucial step in the healing process.
