Majical Cloudz recently announced the follow-up to their 2013 album Impersonator, sharing the first single from the album, “Silver Car Crash.” Now the Montreal-based duo have shared the title track of the album, “Are You Alone.” Featuring their singular brand of minimalistic production and Devon Welsh’s theatrical voice, the title track from Are You Alone? isn’t quite as downtrodden as “Silver Car Crash,” but it is every bit as captivating.
Describing the song on Vulture, Devon Welsh says “Are You Alone” is “a song about life! People doing things and feeling things and falling all over the place! Lots of emotions! Just trying to keep going! Sometimes it’s easy! Sometimes it’s hard! It’s a song about caring what happens! To other people!”
Are You Alone? will be released on October via Matador.
