The Weeknd has been on fire this summer—literally and figuratively—with every track from his recent Beauty Behind the Madness album landing on the Billboard charts. Now the first single from the album, “The Hills” has received a makeover from LA-based DJ/producer RL Grime.
The original single has a very dramatic drop that becomes the turning point of the entire track. RL Grime’s also has an attention-grabbing drop but it’s far more electrifying rather than eerie like the original. RL Grime also speeds up The Weeknd’s vocals just a bit to match the energy of the new mix.
