The remixes of one of the summer’s anthems keep coming in, and we are not mad at all. A couple of weeks ago, live footage of Dre Skull’s extended dancehall remix of “I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times),” featuring Kranium, Konshens, and Assassin, appeared, and then on Saturday’s OVO Radio show, a Skepta remix was unveiled.
On Saturday night, Jamie xx played a celebratory show at Terminal 5 in New York, starting off with The Persuasions’ “Good Times” and dropping immediately into his own song which samples it, “I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times),” featuring Popcaan and Young Thug. Later in the set, he revisited the song, playing a new remix featuring two verses from Wiki from New York rap crew Ratking.
