Just days after announcing the title of her anticipated debut album along with an impressive record in “Wings,” Little Simz returns with the viciously rapped “Dead Body.” The single features black-and-white visuals to complement a morbid metaphor, one representing the endangerment of our core in the pursuit of tantalizing dreams.
Both song and video are impeccably executed. Director Jeremy Cole incorporates panoramic shots of Simz dragging a bagged corpse across barren plains, wicked mask imagery, and the symbolic loss of self.
