Watch Solange, Dev Hynes, and Moses Sumney Cover Nina Simone's "To Be Young, Gifted and Black"

Watch Solange and Dev Hynes reconcile in the best way possible.

Dev Hynes has a lot of production and songwriting credits to his name, but the credit that really put him on the map was his work with Solange Knowles on her well-received EP, True. Produced and written entirely by the two of them, they eventually had a very public falling out on Twitter that caused many to think they’d never work together again. The details on what caused the bad blood was never really explained, as the tweets left it relatively vague. Fortunately, it looks like they’ve worked out their differences if Solange’s set at FYF Fest in LA is anything to go by.

Bringing out Dev Hynes during her set to perform a few tracks from True alongside her and her band, the two looked right at home on stage together again. During his time on stage, he also accompanied her for a cover of Nina Simone’s “To Be Young, Gifted and Black.” Following the performance, footage of the two rehearsing the cover alongside Moses Sumney and KING has surfaced, giving us a clearer version of the cover in its full glory.

Check out the rehearsal video above, and check out a few videos of the two performing “Losing You” from FYF Fest below.
