In tandem with producer Like Minds, Pell penned a five-plus-minute ballad over broad piano strokes and low-pass drums. He aims to reach a handful of objectives, a respectable level of clarity and understanding during somewhat hopeless moments.
It’s a burdensome task to remain positive when confronted with betrayal and dishonesty. Smoke and mirrors can wear a person thin. Pell’s just doing his best to manage, sharing his mentality with the world along the way. The touring traveler evidently ensures enough creative space for heightened introspection.
