Artists Anthony and Josephine have established themselves reliable creators of polished indie pop as Oh Wonder. Now that August, the prolonged Sunday of summer, is upon us, the tandem once more keep their promise to offer a new record with each flip of the calendar.
“Drive” propels forward off the strength of a choral string arrangement and the heart-stung words of its makers, who depict the very real truth that it’s sometimes a fight to love another. One can only endure so much pain before landing on the need to escape what’s causing the hurt.
