Daye Jack is only 19 years old (and one of our favorite young rappers), but he’s also one of the more mature, ambitious artists making hip-hop right now. Then again, labeling Daye Jack’s music as hip-hop is unfair. “Save My Soul” is more than a rap song—the synth-drenched backdrop and melodic chorus demonstrate Day’s wide-ranging taste, but it’s his intense delivery that steals the show. The Soul Glitch stand-out now has a striking, high contrast video to go with it. It was directed by David Gallardo.
