The Weeknd Debuted New Song "Mood Music" for a Crowd on a Private Island

Back in March, when The Weeknd debuted new music for a crowd at SXSW, fans initially though that “The Hills” was actually called “Mood Music.” That confusion has obviously been cleared up now with “The Hills” taking over the Billboard charts. And now, The Weeknd finally debuted the real song titled “Mood Music” to a crowd during a recent gig on a private island near London.

The production behind “Mood Music” feels simultaneously dark but inviting—a lane he seems to have perfected. Similar to his previous work, “Mood Music” features vulnerable but catchy lyrics that fans will surely be ready to sing along.

This new track will be featured on his forthcoming album Beauty Behind the Madness which is due out on August 28 via Republic.
