Following last year’s release of Encyclopedia, The Drums enlist remix master TOKiMONSTA for a fresh take on “There Is Nothing Left.” The original had an ’80s vibe and a sweeping chorus, and TOKiMONSTA adds some muscle with a thumping beat and some dreamy synths. The style is different, but the song is grounded in such compelling songwriting that the sentiment remains.
