Funk Flex: "If Drake Does Write Everything, Everyone Owes Him An Apology"

While you were probably busy trying to make sense of Taylor Swift’s illogical tweets at Nicki Minaj last night, Meek Mill was busy on twitter with his own beefs. First he took shots at Minaj’s ex Safaree “SB” Samuels, then, as if that wasn’t enough, he turned his attention to Drake, stating the rapper doesn’t write his own verses.

While this isn’t the first time Drake’s use of ghostwriters has been questioned, the story took an interesting turn when Funkmaster Flex got involved. On his Hot 97 show tonight, the host not only spoke on the alleged ghostwriter, Quentin Miller, but also leaked the reference track Miller wrote for “10 Bands.” To be clear, Miller is credited as one of the songwriters for the track, but it’s interesting to hear this in comparison to the version that made it on Drizzy’s If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late.

“If Drake does write everything,” Flex said during the segment, “everyone owes him an apology. If he doesn’t, I go on the record as [saying] he’s a fraud.”

Listen to the short reference track below.
