Da$h, Domo Genesis, and Remy Banks bring an abundance of bars both focused and out-there to producer Black Noi$e’s beat for “4:50 AM.” The shared mind state is one of tired aggression, the soundscape a looped mix of cold pianos and strings that rest beneath the surface.
The three artists have long run in the same circle. Whether through touring or on wax, each has collaborated with the likes of Vince Staples and Earl Sweatshirt, let alone their own recordings together. They work well here, offering deep tones and confident if not menacing rhymes.
