The Winehouse family has not been particularly fond of the upcoming Asif Kapadia-directed AMY documentary, voicing their displeasure with the film on various occasions. They claim the movie is misleading in terms of how it paints her father, Mitch Winehouse, and omits truths about the family helping her through her toughest moments.
Now Amy’s father may make his own film with Amy’s former fiancé Reg Traviss, in response to AMY. The two reportedly want to tell their side of the story and clear up any misconceptions. A family source told The Mirror that “Mitch and Reg are talking about doing something to correct all the wrongs and omissions in the new film. Their own take on Amy’s life is being discussed.”
