2. Mac DeMarco - "Onion Man"

Earlier this week, Mac DeMarco released a nine-track album full of instrumentals specifically meant to soundtrack BBQs. Many of the tracks on the album are all relaxing rhythms that would perfect to play in the background as you end the summer night on a rooftop with friends. But "Onion Man" is the most upbeat track on the entire album that gets your attention immediately.

3. Daphni - "Vikram"

This week Caribou returned to his Daphni moniker with a hypnotic new track, "Vikram." It's nearly six minutes long, a slow build that transforms into a trance-like groove.

Each element of the rhythm is introduced separately, making for multiple time signatures and a stream of unexpected twists.

4. vox - "Put The Poison In Me"

There's a simplicity about vox's "Put The Poison In Me" that makes it feel like a candid recording of an impromptu living room performance. But it's that same seemingly effortless quality that makes the song so alluring. The vulnerable lyrics and vox's striking voice are strong enough to stand on their own without needing the crutch of any intricate instrumentation.

5. RetcH - "Round Here"

Anyone even remotely familiar with RetcH knows that he doesn't sugar coat anything. It comes as no surprise that his recent Finesse The World mixtape is full of hard-hitting tracks. One of the standouts, "Round Here," features lyrics and a rhyme flow that are equally, if not more, grimy than the production itself.

6. Trails and Ways ft. Harriet Brown - "Downright (Falcon Punch Remix)"

For his latest track, Falcon Punch remixes Trails and Ways' single "Downright" and gives it a groovy update. The new version speeds up the dreamy track a bit, injecting a perfect amount of danceability.

7. Bridge ft. ScHoolboy Q - "Roll My Weed (Lege Kale Remix)"

Late last year, LA-based singer Bridge linked up with fellow Cali native ScHoolboy Q for their single "Roll My Weed." The collab was good enough to prompt a handful of remixes, but one of the most impressive flips didn't come until this week, courtesy of Lege Kale. His remix breathes new life into the original, hazy track by embedding about ten times more bounce into the beat.

8. Nicolas Jaar - "Tourists (Creange Remix)"

Two weeks ago, producer Nicolas Jaar surprised fans with a new 20-track album titled Pomegranates. Inspired specifically by one of the featured tracks called "Tourists," producer Creange decided to give us own personal take. While the original is quite simplistic and soothing, Creange's remix completely opens it up into a new dimension by adding extra claps and bass.

9. KRNE - "Chariots"

Oakland-based producer KRNE holds nothing back on his latest track "Chariots." In just under four minutes he manages to fit a plethora of massive sounds together in a seamless manner.

The energetic track takes listeners on a ride with each unexpected twist and turn that occurs within the production, making it feel more like an experience than just a song.

10. Hurt Everybody - "3k47"

Chicago crew Hurt Everybody recently dropped their 2k47 mixtape and kicked down the door with the tape's opening track "3k47." On its own, the production of the track already sounds like it could shake speakers, but the addition of the group's aggressive vocals takes the passion of the track to entirely new level.

Sometimes the intro track of a mixtape can be overlooked, but Hurt Everybody go straight to the point and made sure they grabbed everyone's attention from the start.

11. Jahkoy - "Still In Love (Krs. & Masego Remix)"

Canadian crooner Jahkoy released his infectious R&B single "Still In Love" last month. Since then, the track has continued to gain attention from many. Now the track has been given a jazzy makeover by Krs. and Masego. Krs. tweaks the production while Masego provides the additional vocals as well as the soothing saxophone.

12. DJ Burn One + The Five Points Bakery - "Perdida"

Atlanta's own DJ Burn One and his team The Five Points Bakery recently teamed up with OVO's Eric Dingus for the track "Perdida." The title translates to "lost" in English, and that's exactly how the production of it will make you feel—in the best of ways. "Perdida" is so soothing that its easy to get a little befuddled within these hypnotic sounds.

13. Fabian Secon - "Gold Plated"

London crooner Fabian Secon released his debut single "Gold Plated" this week, and it seems like he may be one to pay attention to. The bass-heavy production draws you in, but Secon's voice layered on top of it is what brings it all home.

14. Ois4 OMARI - "Trill"

Houston native Ois4 OMARI only recently got on our radar, but he's pinpointed a sound that is unique. He's influenced by Lil B but also French house music and alt-rock, and produces his music himself. All those influences are thrown into a blender for a rap sound that is indebted to the internet in interesting ways.

15. Nehzuil - "DeLorian"

For his latest track "DeLorian," Australian producer Nehzuil flips Banks' vocals from her single "Drowning" and delicately layers them under a tranquil beat. Nehzuil's aquatic production captures the feeling of drowning in slow motion, a beautiful one-off inspired by Banks' original.

16. Dengue Dengue Dengue - "Murdah"

Whether or not it's intentional, most musicians end up sounding like their hometown. Peruvian duo Dengue Dengue Dengue is a classic example, embedding the sounds of their home country with a modern twist into their latest track "Murdah."
