Video: Raury - "Devil's Whisper"

As soon as Raury’s new single “Devil’s Whisper” surfaced, it was deemed as the sequel to his debut track “God’s Whisper.” After watching the video, though that’s not so much the case. At least in the sense of the timeline he’s put between the two videos.

In this clip, we can see Raury and members of the Two-9 collective enjoying the spoils of their hard work, toasting to success over a lavish dinner. Nothing wrong about that, right? But Raury previously explained that “Devil’s Whisper” is about the temptations that come when the industry attempts to pull money from the art. As the video moves forward, weirder things start happening (a baptism outside a club?), ultimately leading Raury to run from dogs in an open field, running from the devil.

The end of the clip has a twist as well. It ends where the “God’s Whisper” video begins. So is this really the prequel?
