DonMonique first caught our attention back in March with her single “Pilates” that featured an undeniably catchy hook. Last month she returned with “Jada” as she continues to prepare for the release of her debut EP which is expected to come out later this summer. Now, she’s back with another subtly infectious single called “You Ain’t Heard.”
At first listen, “You Ain’t Heard” might not seem like a catchy track. But by the end of the song, it’s easy to feel the urge to repeat “Oh, you ain’t heard?” right along with DonMonique. There’s a hazy feeling about the beat but it simultaneously contains the power to hold a crowd—a difficult combination for most to accomplish. With each track, DonMonique proves that she’s one to watch.
DonMonique will also be gracing the stage at our fifth installment of No Ceilings on July 8.
