Sia’s powerful vocals and memorable hooks almost seem like an open invitation to producers to try their hand at remixing her songs, but where so often they pile on too many extra elements, salute keeps things restrained. Taking away Giorgio Moroder’s bright original production, salute gives Sia’s emotional vocals the space to breathe with subtle keys and (what sounds like) handclaps leading the way.
