It’s been a while since Swedish pop duo JJ released new music, but they finally have a new single simply titled “Truce.” The track initially comes off sounding a bit dark, thanks to the lo-fi production and the haunting, breathy vocals. However, by the bridge, “Truce” brightens up a bit with the help of some live instrumentation.
The vocals, as well as the lyrics, display a certain amount of confidence that is much needed to get the emotion of the song across. The ups and downs of the track mimic the same ups and downs that occur in a conflict before a truce can finally happen.
