The original version of “Grow” is a sweet piano-led ballad that allows 21-year-old songstress Frances’ voice be the true focal point. The simplicity of the track shines a light on the vulnerability of the lyrics. However, this emotional track just got a remix by Manchester-based producer Oceaán.
Oceaán’s version of the track alters the mood quite a bit. Without the piano, “Grow” doesn’t feel as emotional as before. However, the emotion is still able to be heard within Frances’ vocals. The production on this remix transform the track from a sweet ballad into a more rhythmic, soulful song.
