But, first things first: if you’ve seen the New Jersey rapper lately, you may have noticed that he went from having short hair to having dreadlocks. This caused quite a bit of confusion (just check out his instagram comments), but he actually has a pretty interesting story that explains it:
“They’re real dreads, but I didn’t grow ’em,” he says. “It’s a lady that I knew from Newark… she cut her hair. She was a powerful person to me, and she spoke a lot of positive things to me. You don’t just put anybody’s hair on your head. The funny thing about the whole thing is since I did it, like the last 50 songs I records have all been some of the hottest songs I did, just from the good energy I’m getting.”
