We included Dark0 in our list of UK Producers to Look Out For in 2015 in anticipation of him dropping some fire this year, and now we get some new music in the form of “The Past,” from the Solace EP out June 15 via Rinse.
Dark0 has already proved he can make tracks that fuck up the club (“Black Rose,” “Sweet Boy Pose VIP”), tracks that soundtrack the greatest fantasy video game never made (“Gaia,” “Amethyst”), and tracks with MCs (“Show Stacks” and the entire Mad In The Cut mixtape that he helped K9 put together), and he continues to impress with his latest effort.
Confounding genre boundaries and expectations, “The Past” is a beautiful, thoughtful piece of music—packed with vivid synths and sweetly haunting vocals.
