A Drake and Mark Ronson Collaboration Almost Happened

None

Throughout his career, Mark Ronson has made his best efforts to help prove that there is a true art to collaborating with others. New artists often struggle trying to get other musicians to collaborate with them but in most cases, it gets easier with popularity. However, even at this stage in his career and with all of the successful collabs under his belt, even Mark Ronson has to face hearing a ‘no’ every now and then.

According to NME, Ronson revealed during an interview for Alan Carr’s British TV show Chatty Man that he tried to get Drake on his recent album Uptown Special, but got denied. “A few people have said no,” said Ronson. “I am not going to say names… Drake. He was very polite about it.”

It’s a shame Drake couldn’t make an exception on his no new friends policy this one time. We may never get to hear what a Drake and Mark Ronson collaboration sounds like, but there’s no doubt it would have been something special.
